ZSL Whipsnade Zoo competition to win family tickets
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2011. Whipsnade was Europe’s first open zoological park when it opened on May 23rd 1931 and is now world famous for its pioneering breeding success among endangered exotic animals. The zoo is enjoyed by more than 400,000 visitors per year and has more than 60,000 members.
Animal Adoption
A ZSL adoption costs just £24 and all of the money raised from the adoption scheme is used to fund the work of ZSL, including the running costs of both Zoos, and its Conservation Projects around the world. Adoptions are completely online. Adopters will receive an online adopter’s pack, including an adoption certificate, a free ZSL Zoo ticket (to the Zoo where their animal resides), a subscription to ZSL’s exciting magazine Wild About, and regular email updates about the adoption.
